Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

In short: ZubyCoco sells digital sewing patterns and physical sewing kits. By shopping with us you agree to the terms below. Payments are processed securely by our trusted payment provider, digital patterns are licensed for your personal use, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how returns and refunds work.

1. Who we are

ZubyCoco ("ZubyCoco", "we", "us", "our") is an online sewing store and learning hub operated by Nzube Umeasiegbu. Through our website https://zubycoco.com (the "Site") we sell digital sewing patterns (PDF downloads) and physical sewing kits, and share free sewing tutorials. You can reach us at any time at info@zubycoco.com or through our contact page.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order.

3. Products and pricing

We sell two kinds of products:

  • Digital sewing patterns – PDF files delivered by download after payment.
  • Physical sewing kits – boxed kits and materials shipped to your address.

All prices are shown in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and may change at any time without notice; the price you pay is the price shown at checkout. We take care to describe every product accurately, but colours can display slightly differently from screen to screen, and fabric prints in kits may vary a little from the photos. If we discover a genuine pricing or listing error after you order, we will contact you and offer the correct price or a full refund.

4. Orders and payment

Placing an order is an offer to buy; the sale is confirmed when you receive our order confirmation email. Payment is taken at checkout and is processed securely by our trusted payment provider, which supports cards, bank transfer, USSD and other secure payment methods. Your full card details go directly to the payment provider over an encrypted connection – we never see or store them. We may refuse or cancel an order where we suspect fraud, where a product is unavailable, or where there has been a pricing error; if payment was already taken you will receive a full refund.

5. Digital patterns and your licence

After successful payment, your pattern is delivered as a download link on the order confirmation screen and by email. Each purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the pattern. You may:

  • Print and use the pattern as many times as you like for yourself.
  • Sew finished items for yourself and as personal gifts.

You may not share, resell, redistribute or publish the pattern files themselves, claim them as your own, or use them for mass production without our written permission. Because patterns are delivered instantly, refunds on digital products are limited – see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Shipping and delivery of kits

Physical kits are usually packed and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days of your order. Delivery within Nigeria typically takes 3 to 7 business days depending on your location; we will share tracking details where the courier provides them. Delivery times are estimates and occasional delays by couriers are outside our control, but we will always help you chase a late parcel. Please make sure your delivery address and phone number are correct at checkout – re-delivery caused by an incorrect address may attract an extra fee. Responsibility for the goods passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns, refunds and cancellations

Our full Refund & Cancellation Policy – covering digital patterns, kit returns, damaged items, cancellations and refund timelines – forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Site – patterns, tutorials, videos, photographs, text, graphics and the ZubyCoco name and logo – belongs to ZubyCoco or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Apart from the personal-use licence described in section 5, no content may be copied, reproduced or used commercially without our written permission.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site for anything unlawful, not to interfere with its operation or security, and not to provide false information when ordering or contacting us.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Site and its tutorials are provided in good faith and "as is". Sewing results depend on your skill, tools and materials, so we cannot guarantee the outcome of any project. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute arises, please contact us first – we will always try to resolve things amicably. Otherwise, disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
